Visualization Generator Update

👉 You can now generate a Bump chart easily with the tool. They are perfect for showing the evolution of the rank of your data. All you need is a CSV with three columns: an id, the time, and the rank. I'll publish a video tutorial next month showing how to use it in detail.

👉 You can now export the result in Tableau Public and CSV (in addition to Tableau Desktop, which was already available). I create this tool to make complex charts easy to create and accessible to everyone. Making it available for Tableau Public users was a priority.

Here are all the other small new features and enhancements:

  • 🚨 Error messages displayed when uploading a file (the tool should not break)

  • 💨 Better performance for the Network Generator

  • 💬 Tooltips for the Network Generator to help you figure out your data before exporting

I want to help you better understand and create data visualization. Hi, I’m Tristan 👋 I’ve always enjoyed combining tech and design to visually represent ideas and answer questions. Naturally, I was drawn to data visualization. On my journey, I was lucky to win a worldwide data visualization competition in Las Vegas, write two books, and become a Tableau Visionary twice. Today, I’m working as a Data Visualization Freelancer. I enjoy the freedom to work with the clients of my choice and give myself the time to learn new tools.
